The Fournier Group has committed to an ambitious CSR strategy. Specific targets have been set, and a dedicated organization has been established.
Today, our goal is to take our commitment even further, with a special focus on resource preservation, particularly the one that is at the origin of our history and ensures our future: WOOD.
Wood is the primary raw material of our industry because it will always be the key ingredient of the panels we transform. Therefore, we must ensure resource preservation, rational use, and recycling. However, rather than just considering it as a raw material, we need to broaden our perspective and consider the natural space it comes from: THE FOREST.
As a remarkable reservoir of oxygen and a carbon sink, the forest is a major factor in preserving and restoring biodiversity.
Endowment funds
At this level, we have decided to strengthen our commitment by creating an Endowment Fund dedicated to supporting environmental actions that contribute to the protection of biodiversity, particularly woods and forests.
This is a natural step for a group founded 116 years ago in Thônes, Haute-Savoie, a region that once had a large number of sawmills, including the Fournier family's.
